Legendary Atlanta rapper T.I. recently posted a video to social media that made Atlanta Falcons supporters worldwide envious.

Nike and the Atlanta Falcons themselves sent the hometown rapper a brand-new pair of Nike Air DT Max ’96 trainers in an Atlanta Falcons colourway, which he unboxed in the video. Legendary Atlanta Falcons and Braves player Deion ‘PrimeTime’ Sanders debuted his signature sneaker, the Nike Air Diamond Turf, in 1993 while still playing for the Falcons. The third model in the Diamond Turf trainer series, the Nike Air DT Max ’96, was released in 1996, right before Sanders joined the Dallas Cowboys.

This release honours Sanders’ first NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons, for the first time.Instead of a conventional shoe box, the Nike Air DT Max ’96 ‘Falcons’ that were given to T.I., a celebrity admirer, came in a hard plastic container. Sanders’ Hall of Fame bust outline, his stylised Prime emblem, a subdued white Nike swoosh, and an encouraging phrase are all imprinted on the casing.
