Paris, France – July 3, 1971 – In a shocking and devastating turn of events, Jim Morrison, the enigmatic and charismatic frontman of The Doors, was found dead in his Paris apartment’s bathtub earlier today. He was 27 years old.
According to French authorities, Morrison’s body was discovered by his longtime companion, Pamela Courson, at approximately 5:00 AM local time. The cause of death has been ruled as heart failure, although an official investigation is ongoing.
