Ahead of the US Grand Prix, Martin Brundle has recalled a prank he was the victim of during one of his famous grid walks.

Fans wouldn’t have it any other way, even though they dislike his pre-race ritual. The mayhem that ensues as Brundle tries to interview celebrities with different levels of accomplishment is fascinating to see.

However, this is what transpired when a coworker chose to pull a practical joke on him prior to a race. In a Q&A session on the Formula 1 subreddit, he shared the story.

During a grid walk, Brundle was questioned by a fan how many producers he speaks to through his earpiece. He said, “So, I have three people in my ear – can’t always hear them.”

“I heard nothing at all when someone turned off my belt-mounted radio behind me because they found it amusing on the Monaco grid. I try to glance over and see folks out of the corner of my eye since it’s grid-based car crash TV.

“I have no idea what will occur.”pen next, and based on the feedback I receive, I believe that people enjoy the confusion of it. I try to wing it as much as I can, but basically, three people are discussing timings, who is where, and what might happen next.”
